Tips for attending an RV Show:
RV Shows present a great opportunity to see a wide selection of makes & models all in one place. You can talk to dealers, manufacturer’s reps, & other campers about camping adventures or how to get started. It’s the best place to comparison shop & get a hands-on look at your options. Here’s a few tips to get the most out of any RV Show:
1. Know what you want & your budget. It can be overwhelming when you walk into an RV Show. There are a lot of things to see! GRAB A MAP and make your way to the RV’s that interest you most. Narrow down the floorplan options you like & how you expect to use your RV. Take the size of your family into consideration and the size of your tow vehicle. Don’t be afraid to look at EVERYTHING, but if you’re there to buy, take the time to find exactly what you’re interested.
2. Bring the family. Let them be a part of the buying process. It can make it a lot of fun & give you a better feel of how the whole family fits into the RV you’re seeking. Let everyone in on the fun!
3. Wear comfortable shoes. Most RV shows are in convention center settings which means concrete floors. Take it from those who work at the shows… those floors are unforgiving. Be sure to wear layers that you can take on or off too. Saying this from experience, it can be freezing cold or boiling hot from one minute to the next.
4. Take notes & pictures. As we said before, an RV Show can be overwhelming. After looking at so many models, things can start to look the same. Keeping track with a note pad or on your phone can be very helpful.
5. Don’t be shy! Ask questions. Everyone working at the RV Show is more than happy to answer any and all of your questions. No matter how silly you think your question may be, ask it! If you’re looking at being a first-time RV’er, a show is an amazing resource!
